Using Keywords With php Scripts
I had a question from a reader yesterday asking me where he could find a course on using php combined with his keyword research he had recently learned and the following is my response:
I do an intro to php in my coaching program .
It is really just a copy and paste method but it
helps you to see how powerful it really is and what
it is actually capable of.Even the little bit I do with students is INCREDIBLE in
what it accomplishes for you.I don’t write the codes, but I had them written to help
me meet my needs and you get a touche of exposure to it.To go full bore into is a little more involved but we are working
on some things right now (plugins) that will make life easier
for people where duplicate content filters are concerned.Let’s say you have a site selling bird feeders (I have several of those :-} ) and you are getting the same feeds from the vendors that everyone else is getting, you have duplicate content.
Then, Google decides which one they THINK is best and box the rest of them at the bottom of the results page for a particular search.
It’s hard to make money when your sites are not being seen according to what Google THINKS. That is not a fair playing field in my opinion.
So, to even things up, I use a little php to make my content dynamic so that the bots see something different each time they come to the site to scan it.
So, I get credit for having new content for them to consume AND the content that comes in daily is never the same as the content everyone else has from the vendor.
Therefore, my sites do not get boxed at the bottom because I have created new and fresh content daily.
The beautiful thing about it, the real art to it all, is using Google’s own behavior and tools (no black hat stuff) to get around their overbearing rules and angst for affiliates.
It’s like internet judo.
Using your opponents own action to overcome them.
And, it’s totally accepted by them because I am only mimicking their own business model, on a smaller scale of course.
Basically, I have had to become and aggregator of content using the example that Google has set. I do the same thing they do, basically.
When the content is updated at the creator’s level, my php detects the update, scrapes it, brings it back to me and publishes itself for me in the right location.
It’s really some neat stuff and even better is, you do not have to
know php to make it work for you. I have the friends and contacts that make it possible for me to come up with an idea, then they build it.I then use it and they do as well.
All of my students who are writing articles since Ezine no longer allows direct linking in new submissions are using php on their lander sites.
But really, you need a solid fundamental skill set in order to
make all marketing methods work for you with efficiency. That is what I teach first and foremost.
FUNDAMENTALS.
Just like learning to hit a baseball or shoot a basketball.
It all starts with fundamentals. Same in marketing.
You have to have the technical fundamental skills and understand how the medium (the internet) works so that you can take full advantage of everything it offers.
Learn the right fundamentals and you can “write your own ticket” as they say.
It’s really as easy as that.
FUNDAMENTALS.
You only need to learn 4 fundamentals to get going and start making money.
1-How to find profitable keywords
2-How to SEO your content (easy with articles)
3-How to build your own web real estate (easy as pie with Wordpress)
4-How to talk to an audience (you get that with writing your first 100 articles
Believe me. 100 is a very magic number for a marketer.Good Luck!
Roger
P.S.I use this technique on most of my digital product sites as well. It works great on both digital and retail AND squeeze pages.
